In the coming season (2015 to 2016), in England, all children aged two, three and four years old (but not five years or older) on 1 September 2010 and on or before before 31 August 2013) will be offered flu protection via a nasal spray called Fluenz Tetra®.
It is envisaged the nasal spray will be available from September 2015 and will be given at the practice by the Practice Nurse.
It is likely that NHS England will commission the majority of immunisation for school-aged children in schools (including those in special schools).
